Olena Rossi is an experienced independent consultant in language assessment. Areas of special expertise: item writing (including using AI for item generation), item writer training, test development, test quality assurance.

Olena Rossi has a PhD in Language Testing from Lancaster University, UK. She also has a lot of practical test development experience producing test specifications, rating scales, setting up an item-writing operation, training item writers, writing, reviewing and editing test items and tasks.

Olena Rossi acts as a consultant for examination agencies and educational institutions on test development, item writing, and test quality assurance. She has facilitated assessment-related workshops in different countries around the world and has taught item-writing courses.
